This paper by CUT Brazil presents social and economic analysis to inform trade union action, as a contribution so that the BRICS does not become another international initiative that fails  to consider the needs of the workers. The hope is that the bloc will actually represent a sustainable development model which is socially just, and a counter-hegemonic alternative to the  international order in place since the post-war period.
